Committee Description:
The Security Council is a UN council primarily focused on protecting the national security and sovereignty of the member nations.The UNSC is composed of (currently)15 member countries; 10 are reelected every two years, and the 5 permanent members and nations with the Veto power, consisting of China, the Russian Federation, France, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Through the use of resolution-based debate, veto powers, and directive-based war procedure (security council procedure),delegates will debate the 2 topics at hand to hopefully achieve common ground on the topics being discussed.

مجلس الامن هو مجلس تابع للأمم المتحدة يركز بشكل أساسي على حماية الأمن الوطني وسيادة الدول الأعضاء. يتكون مجلس الأمن من (حالياً) 15 دولة عضو؛ 10 منها يتم إعادة انتخابهم كل عامين، و5 دول دائمة الأعضاء وتتمتع بحق النقض، والتي تتكون من الصين، الاتحاد الروسي، فرنسا، الولايات المتحدة، والمملكة المتحدة. من خلال استخدام المناقشات المعتمدة على القرارات، وحق النقض، وإجراءات الحرب المعتمدة على التوجيه (إجراءات مجلس الأمن)، يتباحث المندوبون حول الموضوعين المطروحين على أمل التوصل إلى أرضية مشتركة حول المواضيع التي يتم مناقشتها
